💡
Discover what Trackingplan has in store to help you easily locate items within your tracking plan.

Search Bar

You can use the search bar you’ll find at the top of your dashboard to search beyond name matches.

Let’s explain in more detail some of the advanced filters you’ll be able to use while using Trackingplan’s search bar:

  • Label: Find items by the #labels you have used to describe them in the notes section (#P0, #purchasefunnel #onboarding). You’ll find more details about labels at the end of this page.
  • Name Contains: Find those items that match the entered string.
  • Has Notes: Find items with description only.
  • Has Label: Find items with labels only.
  • Is Starred: Find your items marked as starred only.

Tab Filters

Trackingplan also allows you to narrow down your searches with specific filters for each of your tabs.

Overview Tab

Besides the possibility to filter by status (ongoing, muted, resolved), your Overview Tab also offers other advanced filtering possibilities.

  • Last seen: Filter by the first or the last time your warnings occurred for targeted analysis and prioritization of issues.
  • image
  • Category: Group your warnings by their category (specification/traffic) and type, or by whether they are affecting starred elements.
    • Specification Warnings: Filter by missing property warnings, conditionally missing property warnings, type collision warnings, validation errors, and validation function errors.
    • Traffic Warnings: Filter by missing event warnings, traffic below and above daily limit warnings, traffic drop and traffic peak warnings, and missing pixels.

☝🏻
Pro tip: By filtering your warnings by category and type, you can send those lists to the team in charge of fixing them so they can focus on addressing specific issues efficiently.

Within your Events Tab, you have the flexibility to refine your searches using the following filters.

  • Current Status: Find your events by their current status (OK, New, and Warn, Off).

The filters in your KPIs tab allow you to filter by status, including options such as OK, Warn, and Off.

For all your destination and acquisition pages, you can also select traffic by date to focus on specific time periods or examine anomalies within a chosen timeframe. Additionally, selecting the “Today” option will allow you to refresh data every 5 minutes, making it highly effective for real-time monitoring and ensuring you stay up-to-date as new data arrives.

Pro tip: Simplifying Search with #Labels

To make searching even more simple, you can customize your events and properties with #labels to create categories (e.g. #onboarding, #salesFunnel, #debug) on your notes section. This will allow you to find items quickly in your digests and when using the search bar.

image

You can create labels on your events, properties, user attributes, and acquisition data. While the possibilities are endless, let’s see some useful examples:

  • #BUG: Use this label to easily spot in your searches bugs that are currently reported.
  • #TEAM: Use this label to ensure every department is aware of its responsibilities for seamless collaboration across all teams (#DEV, #PRODUCT, #MKT), or squads (development teams) to encourage the ownership of the analytics generated by their developments.
  • #ECOMMERCE: You can use this label to define events belonging to the same funnel or critical path.

Moreover, labels also allow you to set up personalized digests to make sure only the right information goes to the right people. In this sense, you could create personalized digests with the label #BUG that, for instance, only developers would receive; create tailored digests for each of your teams and departments (#marketingteam), etc.
